Ebbene sì: in solamente 4 metri quadrati abbiamo trascorso 2 ore, in 3, bevendo 4 drink e raccontandoci 1000 aneddoti.
Quando sono entrata nel Backdoor43 e ho constatato che l’intero locale era poco più grande di un ascensore, ho pensato che mai avremmo potuto trascorrere al suo interno più di un’oretta e invece…
Le due ore a nostra disposizione (sì, il locale è letteralmente “tuo” per due ore) sono volate!
Come mai? Semplice! Perché il barman (Mirko nel nostro caso) è stato cordiale, gentile e disponibile ad ascoltare le nostre preferenze per preparare i cocktail più in linea con i nostri gusti; perché la musica la sceglie il cliente, quindi per forza di cose l’ambiente diventa immediatamente confortevole, un po’ come essere nel salotto di casa ma con la differenza che un esperto prepara per te drink meravigliosi; perché il locale è intimo, arredato in maniera curiosa e ha, come potete immaginare, una storia unica (non dirò nulla, lascerò che sia il barman a svelarla a voi). Tutto ciò, aggiunto alla compagnia giusta, rende possibile stare per due ore in quattro metri quadrati senza pensare al mondo fuori.
Tutto il mistero che avvolge il Backdoor43, l’aspettativa prima di varcare quella porta, l’idea che inevitabilmente ci si è creati nell’attesa di scoprire questa chicca hanno fatto sì che l’aria che si respirava in quella stanza fosse magica e, una volta uscita, mi sentivo felice come una bambina che ha appena scoperto un segreto.

When we entered Backdoor43 and I noticed that the entire pub was not much bigger than a lift, I thought that we could never have spent more than an hour there, but…..
The two hours at our disposal (yes, the bar is literally “yours” for two hours) simply flew by.
How? Simple! Because the barman was very friendly, kind, and willing to listen to our preferences, prepare cocktails according to our tastes; because the music is chosen by the client, so the room becomes inevitably cozy, a bit like being in your living room but with the difference that an expert is there to make marvelous drinks for you; because the place is intimate, furnished in an intriguing way and has, as you can imagine, a unique history (I will say nothing and let the barman reveal it to you).
All of this, in the right company, makes it possible to stay for two hours in just four square meters without thinking about the rest of the world.
The mystery that shrouds Backdoor43, the expectation you feel before crossing the threshold, the ideas that you create in your mind, waiting to discover this gem, made the atmosphere in that room magical and, when outside, I felt happy as a child who has just learned a secret.
